Ever heard of hyaluronidase? Try saying that fast, or slow. But seriously, if you're interested in the best quality skin care products, then hyaluronidase is a word you might come across from time to time.

So what is hyaluronidase and why is it important to good skin care?

Hyaluronidase is a substance that occurs in your skin. And it has some nasty effects on your skin if left to run wild.

Here's a quote from Wikipedia about hyaluronidase. "The hyaluronidases (EC 3.2.1.35) are a family of enzymes that degrade hyaluronic acid."

So it helps break down hyaluronic acid. And as hyaluronic acid is good for your skin you don't want it broken down. So you don't want that hyaluronidase running amok breaking down your hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid, when combined with collagen and elastin, is important in maintaining your skin health, including skin suppleness and tone as well as smoothness and elasticity. All of these are things you want in your skin, and hyaluronic acid helps.

Complicated, isn't it? Read on, there's good news for those interested in serious skin care products that help inhibit the effects of hyaluronidase.

You see there are some naturally occurring substances that inhibit the effects of hyaluronidase. Substances that can be found in nature, and which are already known to be extremely effective in maintaining the youthfulness, suppleness and tone of your skin right into old age.

It's found in a seaweed that is native to the coast of Japan called Phytessence Wakame. And the Japanese have eaten Phytessence Wakame for generations, both fresh and dried. I'm sure you've heard about the seaweed in the Japanese diet.

And the Japanese are well known for having extremely healthy skin right into their later years, and now that the reason for this is known, Phytessence Wakame is treated with reverence by the Japanese.

It's quite possible to put the active ingredients of Phytessence Wakame into skin care products, and at least one company is now doing so, offering natural organic skin care products that are safe to use (unlike some) and extremely effective.

But most skin care products don't contain Phytessence Wakame, and do contain ingredients that are made in a lab, and are suspect to your health. Go on now, check the label of your current anti aging skin care products and see if you can find Phytessene Wakame.

So if you don't want hyaluronidase breaking down that important acid in your skin, hyaluronic acid, get yourself some high quality organic skin care products that contain Phytessene Wakame. You won't believe how well they work.
