Are you looking to loose a few holiday pounds? It isn't easy but it can be done.
There are tons of different diets and regimes available on the market today. But, your best bet is to keep it simple.
If you aren't easily motivated to exercise, your first solution is to find someone that you know that would like to also get into shape and to loose a little weight. This is a good way to feed off of each other and help each other to stay determined to reach your goal.
If you have a scale, only touch it once, find out what your initial weight is at the beginning of this regime. From this point on, stay away from the scale, looking at the numbers will only add to your level of stress and you don't need it. Stress only adds to the problems of our bodies loosing weight. The less stress we have to deal with, the better off we are.
Now the fun begins. Gather the following supplies this will help you along your journey to a new fit and thinner you. A small notebook, pen or pencil, a pair of sturdy walking shoes, comfortable clothing that makes you feel good when wearing them, determination.
If you work the next few steps might be a little more difficult but, there are ways to still add this into your regime.
Start out a little slow, you don't want to burn yourself out in the first week. Also, keep it simple, there is no need to add difficult steps to getting fit. Sometimes this is where many of us fail. You may also wish to change your normal schedule, get up an hour earlier, that way you don't feel rushed to add a small amount of exercise to your day.
The best method that seems to work for most is changing the way we eat. Instead of having 3 large meals during the day, snack. If you break it down to eating something every couple of hours, your body tends to burn fat differently and help to change your body in ways you will be amazed. Here is a good example of how to do so.
In the morning:
6am- Wake up drink one glass of water and have a piece of fruit.
6:15am- Go for a quick walk around the block.
6:30am- Eat a small bowl of oatmeal.
Get ready for work and continue on with your day.
You may feel hungry after arriving at work, eat another piece of fruit and drink more water.
Or have a cup of coffee or tea. This is okay, you don't have to cut out the things you enjoy, just change the amount you eat slightly.
For lunch, eat a small sandwich with lean turkey or ham and some cheese. Then an hour or so later eat a small salad.
If you have time, go for a walk either around the business you work in, if this is allowed or take a brisk walk outside. You might want to make sure you take a pair of walking shoes for this, that way you have something comfortable on your feet.
Snack on other fruit and continue to drink water through out your day.
If you run errands during the afternoon after work and if most places are close to home, seek out a route that you can walk. You might want to have a friend go with you. Especially if you are starting to feel tired and unmotivated after a long day at work. Make sure to take some water with you. Once done with your errands you will want to eat another piece of fruit some veggies or even a cereal bar. There are many choices on the market.
Eat a sensible dinner in the evening. This is best because we go so long with out anything in our systems during the night. You don't want to wake during the night feeling hungry.
Many people who have tried this regime have lost a little more than their initial goal of ten pounds. They have found that they are happier with the way they look and feel.
Mind you there are a few people who have not lost their total goal, but this is all right, you still lost some weight. You also gained a new regime and a way to get fit.
